Sagar Parikrama Phase- IX to Encourage Sustainable Fishing in India

The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying,  successfully flagged off Phase-IX of the Sagar Parikrama Yatra on 7^th October 2023 for the coastal regions of Tamilnadu and Puducherry. This will highlight and address the issues faced by the fishing community and fishermen across the coastal belt of India. The transformational journey has been planned for three days to facilitate the economic upliftment of fisher folks, fish farmers, as well as stakeholders involved through various government schemes.
