ABOUT THE INDUSTRY
A carbon market allows investors and corporations to trade both carbon credits and carbon offsets simultaneously. This mitigates the environmental crisis, while also creating new market opportunities. Carbon credits enable businesses to offset their greenhouse gas pollution. Companies can achieve their climate goals by purchasing credits for their existing emissions. Credits are typically traded in units of one tonne of CO2, and it is predicted that 2 billion tonnes of CO2 credits will be required to meet the 2030 goal.
