India’s packaged food sector has pledged to pass on the benefits of recent GST reforms directly to consumers. The commitment was made during a high-level roundtable jointly organized by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries and the Confederation of Indian Industry, where leading companies assured the government of their readiness to ensure the reform translates into lower prices for consumers and greater affordability for households.
