Indian Forest and Wood Certification Scheme Launched for Promotion of Sustainable Forest Management and Agroforestry

To give a boost to the sustainable management of India’s forests and agroforestry, a new Indian Forest & Wood Certification Scheme has been launched by the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change (MoEFCC). The scheme has the provision of awarding voluntary third-party certification under the implementing agency, the Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal.
