The national workshop PreciSense 2026, held at Pune, has drawn attention to the growing importance of accurate and reliable data in water conservation and management nationwide. The workshop was jointly organised by the Central Water and Power Research Station (CWPRS) and the Indian Society for Hydraulics, under the aegis of the Ministry of Jal Shakti. The event brought together policymakers, researchers, engineers, and technology providers to deliberate on strengthening India’s hydrometric and meteorological data systems in practice.
