The Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM), launched on 2^nd October  2014 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has completed a decade of transformative progress in sanitation and cleanliness across India. Initially aimed at eradicating open defecation and improving sanitation, the mission has evolved into a comprehensive waste management program that touches both urban and rural India.
