The computer software and hardware sector in India attracted cumulative Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflow worth US$ 44.91 billion. The sector ranked second in FDI inflow as per the data released by Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade. Department of Telecommunication under the Ministry of Communication has rolled out 5G Vertical Engagement and Partnership Program” (VEPP) scheme to develop the telecom sector to next stage.
