The North-Eastern Region (NER) of India consists of eight states namely Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Tripura, Assam, Manipur, Nagaland, and Mizoram. The region is strategically located with national and international borders. It is blessed with an abundance of nature-gifted natural resources, biological diversity, distinctive flora and fauna, strategic importance, and cultural diversity.
