Concerning the management of the data related to Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) to make knowledge-based decisions in the future, the Government of India under the chairmanship of the Principal Scientific Advisor (PSA) has started working on the National Initiative on Science, Technology, and Innovation Statistics (NISTIS). Data is the new fuel of the 21^st century and thus its centralized management is the key to reaping its maximum benefit for the betterment of all.
